Garden Centre opened its doors in
January 2003 as the first “western”
style garden centre in the U.A.E.
A subsidiary of the Desert Group,
the Dubai Garden Centre originated
to fill the gap in the traditional
“souk” style centres that
has long been part of the region.
The objective of the Centre is to
offer a “one-stop-shop”
for a wide assortment of garden products,
plants and accessories. The Centre
endeavors to cater for the broad cross
section of cultures and nationalities
that makes up Dubai. Conveniently
situated near Interchange 4 on Sheikh
Zayed Road Dubai, the centre caters
to the retail of plants and garden
products in a convenient purpose built
environment.
Situated
around Dubai are numerous public parks
and gardens that offer a peaceful
respite from urban life. These are
particularly popular with families
as they offer attractive picnic spots
and childrens' play areas with a variety
of entertainment facilities. The largest
of the city's parks are Jumeirah Beach
Park, Dubai Creekside Park, Mushrif
Park, Ras Al Mamzar Park and Safa
Park, while many smaller ones throughout
the city provide pleasant green oases.
The
Dubai Garden Centre carries an extensive
range of horticultural products, outdoor
furnishings, indoor and outdoor plants.
Products are selected from local producers
as well as imported from abroad in
an effort to provide the widest selection
of materials suitable for the U.A.E
environment and market. We continually
refine and redefine our lines in an
effort to provide the best quality
of products whilst still providing
our clients with competitive prices.
Our
2,300 m2 of shaded outdoor sales and
display space is decorated with both
static and dynamic garden displays
featuring; terracotta and cement containers,
trees, shrubs, climbers and groundcovers,
a range of seasonal plants, water
features, garden ornaments and landscape
materials. Last, but not least we
also carry a range of potting soils,
composts and fertilizers. In addition
to this we have a total of 2,700 m2
of air conditioned indoor retail space
where you will find our ranges of
indoor plants, clay, metal and plastic
plant containers, garden tools and
equipment, irrigation fittings, indoor
water features, BBQ’s, a wide
range of wooden patio furniture, flower
and vegetable seeds, plant fertilizers,
gifts and more…
